Harry Waldron Stevens

Born: 21 Jan 1921, Calgary, Alberta

 

Died: 23 Aug 1977, Calgary, Alberta

 

Harry Stevens was living in Calgary at the time of his recruitment into the navy. Prior to enlisting he served for three years in the Merchant Navy on both Canadian and English vessels, sailing to Australia, New Zealand and British Guiana. He passed his Second Officers exam at the age of 21.

* First noted in the Navy Lists at a SLt, RCNR (seniority 20 Oct 1942) (Navy List Mar 1943)

HMCS MALPEQUE - Appointed to Malpeque 22 Dec 1942 as a SLt, RCNR (Navy List Aug 1943). Appointed Lt, RCNR (seniority 20 Oct 1943) (Navy List Feb 1944)

* Retired List as a Lt, RCN(R) (seniority 20 Oct 1943) (Navy List Jul 1948)

HMCS TECUMSEH (Retired List) - as a Lt, RCN(R) (Navy List Jul 1952). Last noted in the Navy List of Jan 1960 as a Lt, RCN(R)
