Alured Philip Musgrave, O.B.E., C.D.

Born: 05 Mar 1899, Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz County, California, USA

 

Died: 14 Jun 1985, Victoria, British Columbia

 

O.B.E. citation awarded on January 5, 1945 reads as follows: "For outstanding ability in organizing the development, growth and training of His Majesty's Canadian Signal School at St. Hyacinthe, Quebec. His success in establishing cordial relations with the local civil population has been exceptional."

 

Capt Musgrave is buried in the Veterans Cemetery, Esquimalt, British Columbia.  He was the son of Lieutenant-Commander Phillip Cranstoun Musgrave RN. He was honourably released from the RCN on 29 Sep 1952 as a Capt, O.B.E., C.D., RCN
