Born: 06 Oct 1924, North Vancouver, British Columbia

 

Died: 22 May 2007, North Vancouver, British Columbia

 

McLEAN, Wallace Arthur (Wally) - Passed away peacefully in his 84th year at Lions Gate Hospital. Survived by his wife of 55 years Betty Jean, daughter Jennifer (Bob) Richardson, sons David (Denise) and Andrew (Laura) and grandsons Trevor and Stuart McLean and Matthew and Daniel Richardson. Wally served in WWII with the Merchant Navy then worked 36 years with BC TEL. He coached soccer and was a "Mr. Fix-It" for anyone needing a hand. He loved his family and took them on many happy camping trips. An open house for family and friends will be held at the family home on Saturday, June 2nd from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. No service by request. Donations appreciated to the charity of your choice.

SS DORVAL PARK (DEMS) - Served in Dorval Park 19 Jun 1945 - 17 Dec 1945

HMCS DISCOVERY - Drafted to Discover 24 Dec 1945. Demobilized 25 Feb 1946
