AYOTTE, Jean-Paul (Yogi) - Passed away May 27, 2005, in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Charlottetown, P.E.I., he was the son of Florence (Bureau) and the late Jean Paul Ayotte Sr. He retired from the Canadian Armed Forces after 25 years service, most of which was on the Oberon-Class Submarines. He then served 10 years with the Federal Government in the engineering Department attached to the Submarine Fleet. He was an avid model railroader, enjoyed spending time at his trailer and loved his time with his family. He was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit. Surviving are his wife, the former Marie Crowell; daughters, Linda Moxsom (Tompkins Skinner), Dawn (Bob) Wallace; sons, Michael O'Leary and Shane (Shelley McKeown) O'Leary; sister, Rachelle; brothers, Raymond and Andre; grandchildren, Roland, Davin, Ryan, Brenton, Alex, Katelin, Shayla, Meaghan, Isabelle, and special other children, Stephanie, Pierre, Julie and Emelie. Visiting 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday, May 30, in A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home. Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Church of the Holy Spirit, Rev. Edwin Ebsary officiating. Children will host a reception at the family home. In lieu of flowers, donations to Church of the Holy Spirit or charity of choice. (The Halifax Herald 28 May 2005)
