Died: 03 Mar 2019, Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia

 

BAKER, Kevin Michael - 25, of Eastern Passage, NS., passed away on March 3, 2019 at home. Kevin was the son of Sherry (Comeau) and the late Mark Baker. Kevin was proud to serve in the Canadian Navy for six years as a Leading Seaman Naval Communicator. He was currently serving on the new ship HMCS Harry Dewolfe and a lifetime member of HMCS Sackville Society. Kevin made friends around the world, in his community as well as in his employment and as Kevin might say “Folks of all ages”. Kevin was wise beyond his years. He graduated from Cole Harbour High School in 2011. Where he performed in three Musicals. (Urinetown, Aidia, and Hair). Kevin is survived by his mother, Sherry (Comeau) Baker, and his sister, Samantha Baker (Cory MacDonald) , of Eastern Passage, NS., many extended family, including his paternal grandparents, Edward and Edith Baker, of Lindsay, Ontario. He is preceded in death by his father, Mark Baker, and maternal grandparents, Mel and Trudy Comeau, of Dartmouth, NS. He will be sincerely missed by his family and abundance of friends near and far. There will be a Celebration of life on Kevin's Birthday, from 6pm - 10pm, Wednesday April 3, 2019 in the Royal Canadian Legion, Caen Branch 164, 1341 Main Road, Eastern Passage, where we will share stories, pictures, and memories. Casual attire. Donations on Kevin's behalf may be sent to Feed Nova Scotia or HMCS SACKVILLE Canadian Naval Memorial Trust. Held forever in our hearts, and always in our thoughts. Ma is so proud of you, Always and Forever.

Kevin Baker being promoted to Able Seaman by His Royal Highness Prince Charles at HNBC Clyde (Faslane), Scotland. HMCS Montreal was a Faslane preparing for Exercise Joint Warrior 2015.
