JUCHLI, Hazel Minnie (née CAMPBELL) - Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend Hazel Minnie Juchli passed away on March 16, 2020 at the age of 95. She will be lovingly missed by her sons: Doug (Susan), Kenn (Josephine) and Rich (Cathy); grandchildren: Bryan (Lee-Anna), Jennifer, Kaylyn and Charlie; great-grandchildren: Taylor, Tyson and Toryn; sister-in-law, Gerrie Campbell as well as numerous nephews and nieces. Our mother had adopted many special people in her life and they will truly miss her: Vernie (Ron); their 2 daughters, and 1 son, Nii (Ayanna); their 4 sons and 3 daughters-in-law, their 10 grandchildren, Fatou (Albert) and 1 daughter, and they loved her like a mother. She will be dearly missed by her friends at Rosedale Downtown, as well as her Beta Sigma Phi, Daughters of the Nile and RCNA friends. Hazel was predeceased by her loving husband, Andre of 58 years; siblings: Elizabeth, Angus, Catherine, Roderic, Isaac, Stan and Bliss. Hazel was born and raised in Edmonton. She was extremely proud of her WWII service with the RCN (WREN's) and was active with the WREN Association of Canada. She proudly wore her RCNA uniform on every Remembrance Day. She also enjoyed delivering many presentations to Edmonton school children about her experience as a WREN. Because of the COVID pandemic, cremation has taken place and the family decided that a private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The family wishes to send a special thank you to all the staff at Rosedale Estates 5th floor, especially to Salley and Mila. Your caring and support for Mom will always be remembered. We would like to thank Dr. Koe of the Good Samaritan Society for her kind and passionate site visits to Rosedale. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made in Hazel M. Juchli's name to any local food bank. Mom was always a big supporter of the food bank. (The Edmonton Journal 27 Jun 2020)

Hazel's husband, Andre Juchli, served in the RCNVR during the Second World War.
