CAMERON, Angus Charles:
With love and sadness, the family of Angus Charles Cameron announces his passing on June 14th, 2026. Angus was born in Kirkland Lake, Ontario on August 25,1939, son of John Angus and Evelyn Ethel (Sackrider) Cameron. A Life Well Lived
Born in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, A boy among four sisters, strong and kind, He learned early the value of hard work, And carried that lesson throughout his life.
He spent long days in the mines, Building a future with determination and grit. Yet he never stopped striving, Returning to school and pursuing his dreams.
He joined the Navy, Served with pride on the Bonaventure, And somewhere along life’s journey, He found the love of his life, Pamela.
Together they built a family filled with love, Raising three children who were his greatest joy— Malcolm, Duncan, and Kyla, Each carrying a piece of his heart.
He was a volunteer with Cole Harbour Minor Hockey, He served on the executive, helped with the Novice program, Power skating, and managed some of the hockey teams. Passion was family, whether it was gathering all the family for dinners around the holidays, to driving to sporting events and even 3am calls from downtown he was always there for his family
His education at Saint Mary’s University Opened doors to a successful career. Whether at Nova Scotia Power or in real estate, He earned respect through honesty, dedication, and integrity.
But his greatest achievements Were never measured by titles or accomplishments. They were found in the lives he touched, The lessons he shared, And the love he gave so freely.
As a grandfather, his heart grew even larger. Brett, Maddy, Kennedy and Logan knew the warmth of his smile, The comfort of his presence, And the joy of being deeply loved.
At home, faithful Bella was never far away. He found happiness in simple pleasures— Tending his garden, Relaxing on his swing, Listening to his radio, And sharing a joke that could make everyone laugh.
He was a man of strength and humility, Of devotion and wisdom. A husband, father, grandfather and friend, A man whose life left an enduring mark On all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Though our hearts ache in his absence, His impact remains in every memory, Every story shared around the table, And every act of kindness inspired by his example.
He will be missed more than words can say, Loved more than he ever knew, And remembered always As a truly great man.
May his memory be a blessing, and may his love live on in all of us.
Angus was predeceased by his Parents John Angus and Evelyn and sister Georgina.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife Pamela, children Malcolm (Heather), Duncan and Kyla. Adored by his Grandchildren Brett and Logan Cameron, Madison and Kennedy Cyr, sisters Laura Parent, Jane (Don) Beggs, June (Chuck) Wallsten.
A celebration of life will take place on Saturday August 29th at the family home 84 AshGrove Avenue, Dartmouth Nova Scotia from 1 to 4 PM , in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer society or Cole Harbour minor hockey association. (Arbor Memorial)
