In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
McBRIDE, William Joseph - Passed away March 29, 2026. Born in Ottawa, ON on March 21, 1934. Raised in Cornwall, ON. Predeceased by his wife, Maureen; twin sons, Timothy and Thomas and his daughter, Katherine. Survived by son, David (Sherry); grandchildren, Jeffrey (Cherie), Andrew (Staci) and Allison (Anas) and proud great-grandfather to Kalie, Rebecca, Easton, Safiyah and Omar all of Dartmouth.
Served 27 years with RCN including HMCS Haida in Korea. Post RCN enjoyed successful career in real estate, founding company Select Reality with many years as a landlord of many properties. Enjoyed his regular gatherings with Tim Horton's crowd and his involvement in local politics.
Memorial service will be held on Monday, April 6 at 1pm from A.L. Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street, Dartmouth with a reception to follow. A private interment will be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery at a future date. (The Halifax Chronicle Herald 31 Mar 2026)
