MacDONALD, Arthur A. (Artie) - Peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the Beach Grove Home on Saturday, March 1, 2014, of Mr. Artie MacDonald of Morell, age 87 years. Beloved husband of the late Teresa (nee Kenefic) MacDonald and dear father of Janet (Donald) Affleck and Shirley (John) Myers. He is also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Darrell (Kim), Karley Affleck, Darren (Gabrielle), Chad, Lucas (Katie) and Keegan Myers; great-grandchildren, Madelyn, Kennedy, Taylor and Saphiah Affleck, Cyle and Cody Myers; his siblings, Linus MacDonald, Leo (Bernadette) MacDonald, Helen (Jerry) Meridith and Joe “Bomber” MacDonald; and sister-in-law, Joan MacDonald. He was also predeceased by brothers, Ivan, Barney, Walter, Sheldon; and sisters, Mary Doyle, Alice and Catherine. Transferred from the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home to the lounge of St. Theresa, The Little Flower Church, Morell for visiting hours on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral will be held on Tuesday with funeral mass from the Little Flower Church at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place later in the parish cemetery. Branch #26 of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a veterans tribute service at the Little Flower lounge on Monday at 6:45 p.m. All branches are welcome to attend. If so desired, contributions in Art’s memory may be made to St. Theresa the Little Flower Parish Cemetery.
