According to the RCN Ledger sheets, which has 3 entries for William Howe, his date of birth is 21 May 1894. The marriage record for William Howe and Daisy Beatrice Hiles on 08 Oct 1913 lists William's age as 22 (1891 as a birth year). William's wife Daisy died in 1934 and he married Rose Pratt on 11 Jul 1935. The marriage record lists Williams age as 42 (1893 as a birth year). The 1911 census for London, England lists William Howe as age 17 (birth year 1894).
William served in the RCN in WW1 and post WW1. His marriage record for 1913 lists his occupation as sailor and the record for 1935 lists his occupation as "sailor, HMC ships"
Two of his sons, Charles A. Howe and Garfield E. Howe, both served in the RCN
