HOWE, Garfield Edward (Pee Wee) - 73, Dartmouth, died August 26, 1994, in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late William and Daisy Beatrice (Hiles) Howe. He was a retired chief petty officer with the Royal Canadian Navy after 25 years of service. He was a member of FSNA and Oakfield Golf and Country Club. He was retired from the Canadian Tire store on Tacoma Drive, Dartmouth. He is survived by his wife, Mary; daughter, Marion (Mrs. George Reid), Winnipeg; son, Jamie, Dartmouth; five brothers, Lawrence, Brian, George, all of Dartmouth; Gordon, Great Village; William (Billy), Rawdon; two sisters, Violet (Mrs. Irving Whynot), Don Mills, Ont.; May (Mrs. Gordon Ritchie), Dartmouth; three stepsisters, Marjorie (Mrs. Allan Lowe), Dartmouth; Shirley (Mrs. John Cooke), Massachusetts; Mildred (Mrs. Eddie Baker), Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; three grandchildren. He was predeceased by his stepmother, Rose Anne; two brothers, Kenny, Arthur; stepsister, Audrey. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Atlantic Funeral Home, Dartmouth. A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Emmanuel Anglican Church, Dartmouth. Burial will be in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any charity.
