Died: 18 Apr 2002, Grand Bay-Westfield, New Brunswick, Canada

 

CALVIN, GEORGE F. G. - At his residence on April 18, 2002 George Frederick Gordon Calvin of Highland Rd. Grand Bay-Westfield. Born in Saint John he was the son of Everett R. Calvin and the late Constance (Northrup) Calvin. Mr. Calvin served in the Canadian Navy and also served in the Canadian Coast Guard. He was the founder of the Grand Bay Stomp in 1991 which later became the Stomp in Welsford. He was involved with the Children's Wish Foundation and he was a motorcycle enthusiast since the 1950's. Surviving in addition to his father Everett are one son David E. Calvin of Saint John, three daughters Angela Lee (Ted) Grand Bay-Westfield, Darlene Lewis Lawrencetown NS, Jennifer Calvin (Scott) Saint John, two brothers Everett J. and his wife Beverly Grand Bay-Westfield, David R. and his wife Judy Grand Bay-Westfield, one sister Linda Harley and her husband Jack Saint John, five grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his mother Constance. Resting at the Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home 309 Lancaster Ave. (634-1701). Funeral service will be held at "Fallsview" Chapel on Monday April 22, 2002 at 1:00 PM. Visiting at "Fallsview" on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Following the service a reception will be held at the "Fallsview" Family Reception Center. (Castle Fallsview Funeral Home)
