Service information for Katherine MacLeod - I joined HMCS SCOTIAN in 1983, as a Shipping Control Operator. In 1984, I was selected as an Naval Control of Shipping Officer Cadet. I transferred to logistics in 1986, and was commissioned as a Logistics Officer in 1988. I transferred to HMCS MALAHAT, and served there from 1992 until 1996. I briefly served in the Communications Reserve in 748 Communication Squadron in Nanaimo, BC from 1998-2000, at which time I was component transferred to the regular navy as a Logistics Officer. I served from 2000-2016 in the RCN, and retired as a Lieutenant-Commander.
Katherine's father, James G. MacLeod, and her two siblings, Jeanne-Marie MacLeod and Albert MacLeod, also served in the Navy.
