LeMOINE, Robert Edward Earl (Ted) - 72, Halifax, died September 15, 1995, in Veterans Memorial Building, Camp Hill Medical Centre, Halifax. Born in Amherst, he was a son of the late John E. and Muriel (Mumford) LeMoine. In 1938, he enlisted in the North Nova Scotia Highlanders, transferring in 1942 to RCNVR. He served on HMCS Stratford and HMCS Victoriaville during the Battle of the Atlantic. From 1955-1967, he served at the Halifax division of RCNR. In civilian life, he joined the Department of Veterans Affairs in 1946 as recreational supervisor at Camp Hill Hospital, transferring in 1967 to the Department of Health and Welfare where he was regional superintendent of prothestic services until his retirement in 1976. He was an artist, musician, sportsman and horticulturist, as well as a collector of militaria, belonging to five associations related to that endeavor. He was an honorary life member of Atlantic Federation of Musicians and a longtime member of the Red Cross, receiving the Red Cross Badge of Service. Surviving are his wife, the former Marjorie Lawrence; sons, Paul, Edmonton; Robert, Bedford; daughter, Vicki (Mrs. Blake Daley), Amherst; brother, John J., Amherst; six grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. Family will receive visitors 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Snow's Funeral Home, Windsor Street. Graveside committal service 11 a.m. Tuesday in Fairview Cemetery, Windsor Street.
