DAWSON, Lloyd Alexander - It is with heavy hearts we announce the death of Lloyd A. Dawson of Fredericton, NB. He died at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Thursday, December 14th, 2017. Born in Gunningsville, NB, he was the son of the late George and Florence (Grey) Dawson and the husband of the late Mary (White) Dawson.
Lloyd was a veteran of WWII and served with the Navy in the North Atlantic. He was an Electrical P.Eng. by trade and worked for New Brunswick Power as well as the University of New Brunswick. Lloyd enjoyed his cottage on Grand Lake where he spent many happy hours, boating, and water-skiing. He also attended Brunswick Street Baptist Church for many years.
Survived by his two sons, James P. Dawson and Stephen L. Dawson (Brenda) all of Fredericton, NB, and his special friends, Sheila, Kay and Frank. He will be sadly missed by his loving family and friends.
There will be no visitation or funeral service at this time. Interment will be in the Fredericton Rural Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, memorial tributes may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. (McAdam Funeral Home 14 Dec 2017)
