Note: The RCN ledger sheets give his DOB as 15 Jul 1875 while his RN service file gives his DOB as 14 Jul 1875.

 

The son of J.J. and Elizabeth Cox. Prior to joining the RNCVR, Edward served in the 25th Regiment of St Thomas and attained the rank of Corporal.

 

Ships served in:

* Enlisted in the Royal Navy 11 Jul 1893

* Transferred to the Royal Naval Reserve 16 Jul 1903. Served until approx 1911.
