Cook, C.A.F. (Navy)

Born: 11 Aug 1959, Winnipeg, Manitoba

Died: 20 Feb 2024, Victoria, British Columbia

MARKIC, Lorne Roman - It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our brother, uncle and dear friend, Lorne Markic.

Very enthusiastic and creative in his youth he enjoyed drawing pictures and portraits. He was a thrill seeker who liked to go rafting, cycling and was an automotive enthusiast.

Lorne enlisted in the military as he wanted to serve his country and found it interesting too, he was stationed around the world. Born in Winnipeg, but his military career would send him to Nova Scotia and eventually transfer him to his permanent residence in British Columbia. He would frequently travel to warm destinations and spent his time exploring tropical and/or different places around the globe.

Lorne is predeceased by his father Roman, mother Edna, brother Kelvin and is survived by his brother Brian (Sheila), niece Hannah and numerous friends and extended family.

Our hearts are forever saddened by his passing but our memories of Lorne will live on forever.

Funeral arrangements to be determined at a later date. (The Victoria Times Colonist 13 Mar 2024)
