Served in the Navy 15 Mar 1953 - 11 Aug 1979

 

BERNAYS, Max Douglas - It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Max on Thursday, January 31, 2013. Max passed away surrounded by the love of his family in his 77th year at the Priory. Predeceased by his beloved son Doug (2003) and daughter in law Paula (2004) and sister in law Lorraine (2002). Loving husband to Marilyn of 53 years. Devoted father to son David and daughter Shannon (Scott). proud granpy to Jessica, Amanda, Carly, Kelly, Tory, Max, Tessa, Skye and Taylor. Max served in the Canadian Navy from 1953 - 1979. He then went on to work at the Rocky Point Ammunition Depot from 1979 - 1995. The family wishes to thank the amazing staff at the Priory for their care and compassion. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, 08 Feb 2013 from 2-4 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion on Station Road, Langford. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Associating or the Canadian Cancer Foundation. "We love and will miss you."

 

Max's father was CPO CGM Max L. Bernays.
