Bill lied about his age so he could joined the RCNVR during the Second World War.

 

Ships served in:

HMCS CLAYOQUOT - Bill was serving in CLAYOQUOT when they rescued the survivors of the CHARLOTTETOWN which was torpedoed and sunk near Cap Chat on 11 Sep 1942.
