In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
In spring of 2019, Florence was admitted to the Sunnybrook Veterans' Centre, Toronto where she passed in early fall of the same year. The pastor came to her room immediately following her passing, and laid the Canadian flag over her, in a very moving little service with prayer. She spoke often of her service and had quite a few stories to tell, mostly about how bad the storms were at Peggy's Cove! She was from London, Ontario and later in life settled in Brampton. She worked at various careers there on and off for almost forty years.
