LAJEUNESSE, Lucien (Lou) - Passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Irene (née Miskolczi). Loving father to Donald (Munich, Germany) and Therese (Winnipeg). Cherished grandfather of Stephane (Winnipeg). Loving brother of Ernest (Ottawa) and sisters Irene Poirier (Sturgeon Falls). Lou was a much loved and appreciated uncle of many nieces and nephews across Canada and the U.S. Predeceased by his first wife Jeannette (Deraiche) and several brothers and sister. Lou was a WWII veteran (RCNVR), a 53 year member of the IBEW and friend of Bill W. Visitation at the P.X. Dermody Funeral Home, 796 Upper Gage Avenue (between Mohawk and Fennell) on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm with vigil prayers at 3:00pm A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Notre Dame du Perpetuel Secours Catholic Church on Cumberland and Blake on Saturday, November 24th at 9:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Ancaster. Donations to the St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
