HARVEY, Barnett, SLt, O-31435, RCN, MPK - 01 May 1941, S.S. NERISSA (Troopship) - Son of Barnett and Agnes Edith Harvey, of Courtenay, British Columbia.

 

SLt Barnett Harvey, RCN, was born at Comox, BC, on October 19, 1920. He was educated at Courtenay Public and High Schools, and at Brentwood College at Victoria, BC. He joined the RCN in August 1938, at Victoria, was reported on May 6th, 1941 as "Missing, believed lost on war service." SLt Harvey was unmarried and is survived by his mother, Mrs. A.E. Harvey, 1241 Monterey Ave., Oak Bay, Victoria, BC, and his father, Capt. B. Harvey of the P.C.M.R., Victoria, BC, and his sister, who is 2nd Lieut. B.P. Harvey ofthye C.W.A.C., Ottawa, Ont.
