COX, Brian Leonard - It is with great sadness that the family of Brian Leonard Joseph of Ottawa, in his 90th year, announce his passing on June 6. Lovingly remembered by his wife of 69 years Joan (née Harris) and his sons Brian (Linda) and Michael (Anh). Brian will be fondly remembered by his granddaughters Allison (Aric), Tia and Kaitlyn and great grandchildren Georgia and Hudson. Brian was a native of Halifax, Nova Scotia and spent 14.5 years in the Navy. After serving in the Navy, Brian joined the Department of National Defence until he retired in 1984. While in the Navy Brian did a tour of duty in the Korean War on the HMCS HAIDA. In his younger days Brian spent many weeks camping with his family, traveling with his wife and eating out at many different establishments. Funeral arrangements entrusted with Kelly Funeral Home Walkley Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart Institute or The Cancer Society.
