JONES, Francis Llewelyn Lloyd, Midshipman, RCN, MPK - 24 May 1941, HMS HOOD - Son of Lt.-Col. Arthur Llewelyn Jones, O.B.E., M.C., and Marie Anna Rita Jones, of Revelstoke, British Columbia.

 

He trained at RMC, Kingston, ON and graduated in 1940. He was drafted to HMS HOOD in January 1941.

* Enlisted as a Cadet, RCN 03 Jan 1940

* Commenced Active Service 14 Aug 1940 as a Naval Cadet, RCN

HMCS STADACONA - Appointed to STADACONA 14 Aug 1940 for passage to England & training in the Royal Navy

HMS BRITANNIA - Appointed to BRITANNIA 23 Aug 1940, Add'l for training R.N. College Dartmouth

* Appointment Midshipman, RCN 01 Jan 1940

HMS HOOD - Appointed to HOOD 04 Jan 1941
