ALEXANDER, Robert Keith, Signalman, V53604, RCNVR, died - 30 Aug 1945, HMCS CHIPPAWA - Son of Robert M. Alexander and Joan Alexander, of Winnipeg, MB.

 

Signalman R. K. Alexander died in T.B. Sanatorium, Winnipeg, Manitoba from pulmonary tuberculosis. In the opinion of the Naval Commission death was related to Military Service. He is buried in the Elmwood Cemetery, Winnipeg, MB.

HMCS CHIPPAWA - Enlisted 22 Jan 1943. Commenced Active Service 25 Feb 1943

HMCS ATHOLL - Served in ATHOLL 11 Jan 1944 - 04 Aug 1944 as a O/Sig and Sig, RCNVR. Rated Sig 25 Feb 1944

HMCS CHIPPAWA - Drafted to CHIPPAWA 18 Nov 1944 as a Sig, RCNVR. Discharged medically unfit due to Tuberculosis 31 Dec 1944.
