In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
DEAN, Gordon Hugh - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father and grandfather, Gordon Hugh Dean, on Wednesday, August 2, 2000, at the St. Boniface Hospital, after a short but feisty battle with lung disease. A memorial service for Gordon will be held at Regents Park United Church on Monday, August 14, at 2:00 p.m., preceded by a private interment. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Khartum Patients Transportation Fund, Khartum Temple, 1155 Wilkes Ave., Winnipeg, Man., R2P 1B9, or to other charities of ones choice would be greatly appreciated. Gordon was the son of Fred and Olive Elma (née Rutledge) Dean. George's father was from New Delhi, Ontario.
Ships served in:
HMS CANSO builder's plaque. Originally laid down for the Royal Navy, she was transferred to the RCN prior to completion and commissioned as HMCS CANSO.
