ARKLIE, John W. - It's with sadness we announce the passing of our dad and husband, Jack Arklie. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 65 years, Isobel. He will also be missed by his children Donna (George), Susan (J), Cathy (Ray), Kevin (Kim) and Lisa, as well as fifteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Jack was born in Dauphin, Manitoba, and would later move to Nova Scotia to serve in the Royal Canadian Navy. In 1956, Jack married Isobel and they began their family in Vancouver. In 1965, they relocated to Powell River to work for MacMillan Bloedel until his retirement in 1992. Jack had a love for music and was an active member of the community band and choral society. Jack also loved golf, and we are sure he's now with his close friend and brother in law, Fred MacLeod, enjoying a round and a shot of Drambuie. (Powell river Peak 25 Feb 2022)
