SHEWAN, Robert Donald - After a life well lived, Robert Donald Shewan (1925 to 2012) passed away peacefully on Thursday, 3 May 2012, at the Charles LeMoyne Hospital. He has gone home to be with his beloved Leila. He leaves behind his sister, Patricia, and an extended, multilayered family: Bonnie Machabee (Claude), Michel Machabee (Tricia) and Ian Machabee (Tina); Don Shewan (Nancy), Scott Shewan (Krista) and Jennifer Shewan (Pascal); Tim Shewan; Sally Whitehead Haladay (Glen) and Peter Haladay; Wally Weir (Wendy) and Wyatt Weir and Wilder Weir; Debbie Yates and Jennifer Rutherford, and numerous great grandchildren, plus many more who will strongly feel the loss. The family would like to extend thanks to the staff at the Charles LeMoyne Hospital and to his friend and Doctor, Mike Sangani.
Visitation will be at Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Home, on Monday, 7 May 2012, from 3 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, 8 May, at 10:45 a.m., at MacGillivray's Chapel. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the charity of your choice would be much appreciated.
