When Able Seaman Frederick Armstrong was killed in action during the Second World War, his brother Gordon William Armstrong (age 23) was serving in HMCS RESTIGOUCHE. It is believed that the Gordon W. Armstrong, buried in the Stephenson Memorial Cemetery Port Sydney, ON is the brother of Frederick Armstrong as Port Sydney is only a short distance from Ashworth ON where Frederick Armstrong was born and even closer to Utterson, ON where Frederick parents were living when he (Frederick) died.
