TUKE, Donald William Dearness, SLt (E), RCNVR, MPK - 21 Oct 1943 - HMCS CHEDABUCTO - Son of William Henry and Jean Madeleine Tuke, of Haileybury, Ontario. Brother of John Frederic, Jean Madeleine and Margaret Helen.

 

SLt Donald Tuke died when HMCS CHEDABUCTO was sunk in a collision with cable ship LORD KELVIN in the St. Lawrence River near St Simeon, QC. His body was not recovered.

HMCS HUNTER - Enlisted 21 Dec 1942. Commenced Active Service 08 Feb 1943

HMCS MELVILLE - Served in MELVILLE 26 Jun 1943 - 15 Oct 1943 as a SLt (E), RCNVR

HMCS CHEDABUCTO - Appointed to CHEDABUCTO 16 Oct 1943 at a SLt (E), RCNVR
