HILL, Kenneth Edward - The death of Ken Hill of Nauwigewauk, husband of the late Marjorie (Evans) Hill, occurred Monday, November 7th, 2011, at Bobby’s Hospice, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Oak Bay on February 1st, 1939, he was the son of the late James Hollis “Holly” and Maxine (Colbert) Hill. Prior to his retirement, Ken was employed as a nuclear power plant operator at Point Lepreau. He attended Saint John High School and served in the Royal Canadian Navy. Ken was an avid reader and loved hockey, boxing and football. Ken is survived by his daughter, Vicki Hill of Ontario and his son, Dave Hill (Tara Scott) of Rothesay; precious grandson, Jacob Hill; nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and beloved wife of 42 years, Marjorie, Ken was also predeceased by his brother, Donald Hollis Hill. In keeping with Ken’s wishes, no formal services will be held. Following cremation, all are welcome to attend a celebration honouring Ken’s life at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (506) 849-2119 on Thursday, November 10th, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A Legion Tribute will be held on Thursday at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery, Saint John. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bobby’s Hospice or to the Extra Mural Program Foundation (Kennebecasis Valley). (Brenan's Funeral Home and Crematorium)
