DUBOIS, Joseph Rene (Joe) - passed away peacefully age 99 at Veterans Memorial Lodge in Victoria on Saturday, May 15, 2021. Joe was born in Winnipeg in 1922 and had a varied career, first as a Naval Aviator when a young man. He spent the majority of his working life in the RCAF and then the Department of Transport as an Air Traffic Controller. This took Joe and his family across Canada and Europe over the years with postings in B.C., Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Labrador and Germany. Joe was predeceased by his wife of 74 years, Lucille, in September, 2020 and by a son, Marc, in 1998. He is survived by three sons, Vic and his wife Bev with their two children, Patrick and Michele (Sam Robarts), Saskatoon; Joseph and his daughter Kiara, Summerland, and Matthew and his son Quintyn, Victoria. Interment is taking place at Royal Oak Burial Park in Victoria alongside Lucille and Marc. Joseph (Joe) Oscar Rene Dubois will be remembered by his family and friends and acquaintances as a good and kind man who led a long and full life and we miss him greatly.
