BAIN, James - Suddenly in hospital. after a short battle with cancer on Thursday. November 28. 1996. Beloved husband of Sandra Crosby. Dear father of James (Nathalie). Robert (Angela) and Jacinda. Beloved Bapa of Shannon. Fond brother of George (Pat). Helen. Herbert (Lorraine). Keith (Linda) and Bruce (Sharon). Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews Predeceased by his parents Robert and Nellie Bain. A Memorial Service will be held at Woodroffe United Church. 207 Woodroffe Avenue. Ottawa, on Friday, December 6, 1996, at 2 p.m. Memorial contributions to the Ontario Cancer Foundation, Civic Division or the V.O.N. would be appreciated. James' headstone is at the Brenton Hilltop Cemetery, Brenton, NS.  His ashes were spread in the waters off of the Yarmouth Lighthouse, Yarmouth, NS.

 

James' brother, George Bain, also served in the RCN.

HMCS TERRA NOVA - Served in TERRA NOVA as Weapons Officer for Westploy '73

HMCS ANNAPOLIS - 11th Commanding Officer.  Served in ANNAPOLIS 28 Jun 1982 - 23 Apr 1984 as Cdr, C.O.
