LEES, Joseph Ambrose Walter - The death of Joseph Ambrose Walter Lees aged 86 years of 193 Herrit Road Springhill N.S., occurred on Sunday, February 2nd, 1997 in Highland View Regional Hospital, Amherst N.S. Born in New Waterford, Cape Breton, N.S., he was the son of the Late Ambrose and Annie (Bagnell) Lees. He is survived by his wife the former Grace Francis Smith. Five sons: Joseph and Raymond both of Springhill: Arthur of Delta, B.C.; James in Calgary and William of Grande Prairie, Alberta. A brother Earl and sister Mrs. Daisy Aitchison, both of Tatamagouche, N.S. Seventeen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers; Douglas and Robert and sister Geneva. Visitations were held Monday evening and Tuesday afternoon and evening from the A.H. Brown Funeral Home, Springhill. Funeral Service 2:00 PM on Wednesday February 5, 1997 from the St Andrews-Wesley United Church, Springhill, with the Reverend Elroy McKillop officiating. Burial in Rodney Cemetery, Cumberland Co, N.S. at a later date.
