Died: 10 Oct 1982, Vancouver, British Columbia

 

COPLAND, Hugh James - at the University of BC Acute Care Hospital, Vancouver, Sunday, October 10, 1982. Hugh J. Copland, in his 61 year. Beloved husband of Margaret Thompson. Dear father of Hugh, Vancouver, Robert of Burnaby, BC. Brother of Margaret (Mrs. A. Brown), Burlington. Born in Hamilton and resided there with his family until 1974, when he moved to Comox, BC. Employee of Fuller Brush Company Limited for 25 years. A private service at sea was held in Vancouver, Friday, October 15, 1982.

 

Hugh's ashes were spread at sea from Howard McIntyre's boat.  Gord Ingram was present along with a navy Chaplain.  (Webmaster's note:  Howard McIntyre and Gord Ingram were Hugh's wartime friends in the photos below)
