DARBY, John Flockhart - aged 49 of Owen Sound, formerly of Espanola. Passed away at Whitefish Falls, Saturday, Sept. 21, 1974. Beloved husband of Marjorie (Wilson). Dear father of Gail, John and Debbie of Toronto, Tom, Joan, Beckie, Kathy and Marni, all at home in Owen Sound. Dear brother of Bill Darby, Massey. Predeceased by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Darby. A member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 6, Owen Sound. Past president of N.M.E.A. Past chairman of the Espanola Hydro and member of the O.M.E.A. Past club master of the Espanola Game and Fish. Resting at the McNally Funeral Home, 222 Spruce St., Espanola, Monday from 2 p.m. till 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Funeral service will be held September 24th at 8:30a.m. from McNally Funeral Home with Rev. George Bell officiating. Interment in Massey Grandview Cemetery.
He was born on July 30 1925 in Massey Ontario to Joseph William Darby and Margaret Honorine Cadotte, they youngest of the 4 children. He joined the RCNVR 05 Aug 1943.
