MANNETTE, Henry J. - 55, of 3464 Micmac Street, Halifax, died Tuesday in Victoria General Hospital. Born in Dartmouth, he was a son of Henry Mannette and the late Laura (MacKay) Mannette. He was employed in maintenance at St. Mary's University. He was a veteran of the Second World War, serving in the Canadian Navy. He also served in the navy from 1951 to 1965. He was a member of the Somme Branch, No. 52, Royal Canadian Legion, Dartmouth and the Scotia Branch No. 35, Halifax. Surviving besides his father and his step-mother Madeline, are two sons, Gerald and Harold, both of Ontario; a daughter, Mrs. Linda York, Bass River; three brothers, Fred, Toronto; Carl and Thomas, both of Dartmouth; a sister Eva, Montreal, and three grandchildren. The body is at Mattatall Funeral Home, 217 Portland Street, Dartmouth, where funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m., Rev. Peter MacDonald officiating. Burial will be in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens.
