PACE, Ronald Burton - We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of my darling brother at the age of 79, of Fairview. He passed away in the VG site, QEII on July 29, 2020. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Laurence Osborne and Maude Eva Pace (Watt Section). He left behind one last family member, brother Osborne Laurence. He was predeceased by his parents, Laurence Osborne, Maudie Eva; and brother, Gary Alexendar; also predeceased by his loving wife of 56 years, Rosanne Elizabeth; and his daughter, Rose Marie. He served with the Royal Canadian Navy for five years as a stationary engineer, on which he served on Canada's last aircraft carrier the Bonaventure. Ron attended trade school to receive his ticket for Stationary Engineer. He worked for Maritime Tel and Tel, and from there went to work for Dalhousie University and he retired from there. Ron, was a very kind and gentle person. He and his wife had many charities near and dear to their hearts. At the young age of 11, he taught himself how to play guitar and to read music. We would like to thank the doctors and nurses on 5A at the VG Site, especially Naomi. Ron will forever be missed and forever in our hearts, especially by brother Osborne (Larry).
