William Corrigan

Died: 29 Jan 1940, South Shields, England

 

CORRIGAN, William - was born 05 Sep 1882 in Dundee, Scotland U.K. On 26 Dec 1900 he enlisted in the Royal Navy for a period of 12 years and trained at Chatham England. Official Number 296342. He often was on ships going from Dundee to Canada in the Merchant Navy. At some point he transferred to the RCN - Official Number 20617 and served in HMCS EARL GREY during her transfer to Russia.  William married Hannah Embleton 07 Jul 1917 in South Shields England. Their son Anthony Kirkley Corrigan was born in Liverpool England 08 May 1924.  In 1925 Hannah and young Anthony joined William in Quebec and they were there for about 10 years before all returning to England. William Corrigan died 29 Jan 1940 aged 57 years in South Shields England.
