BROWN, Geoffrey W. (Geoff) - was born in Trail, BC, and raised on a farm in Renata. As a young man, Geoff joined the Navy and served on HMCS Stettler, crossing the equator on February 8th, 1960, and then as a Cadet Lieutenant at HMCS Discovery. He then embarked on restoring wooden boats the Bonnie Dundee and the Romany Spirit to their original condition; also assisting in restoring Steam Tug S.S. Master. Following that, Geoff endeavored in the mining industry for the remainder of his career. His wife, Janet, of 48 years, loved him dearly until her passing on May 24, 2019. Geoff is survived by his children, Russ, Tom, Kalawna, and Kevin, and their families; including his grandchildren, Andrea, Chris, Darcy, Kierra, Kathleen, Quinn, and Milo. May he rest in peace and be reunited with his wife Janet, whom he loved with all his heart. (Delta Optimist 07 May 2020)
