BORTHWICK, James Bell - On Sunday at the Concordia Hospital, James went to sleep. He was predeceased by his parents, three brothers, one sister. He is survived by his lvoing wife Jean; his sister Dorothy Lowe (Corwin); his father-in-law Donald McCrae, many nieces, nephews and all the kids that he was "Pops" to. He served with the RCNVR in the Second Waorld War. He retired from the C.N.R. Jim was a member of the Rotary Club of Winnipeg and a Paul Harris Fellow. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, lifetime member of the Khartum Temple Patrol and a Director of the Naval Museum at HMCS Chippawa. Jim will be sadly missed by all those who knew him. A special thank you to the staff at the Concordia Hospital, the V.O.N. (Andrea) and Dr. H.T. Dirks, for the fabulous care he received. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 28 at 11:00 a.m. at Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway with Padre Stanley Millar officiating. Donations may be made in memory of Jim to the charity of your choice.

 

Jim served in the RCNVR and RCN(R) from 30 Jan 1942 to 31 Oct 1969
