Born: 1961, Quebec

 

Died: 17 Nov 2014, Halifax, Nova Scotia

 

PARADIS, Fernand Joseph - Age 53, Halifax, passed away peacefully on November 17, 2014 at the VG Hospital after a long, hard battle with cancer. Born in Quebec he was the son of Mary (Morgan) Paradis and the late Fernand Paradis. He left Quebec moving to Nova Scotia and spending 24 years in the military, retiring in 2004. He is survived by his loving wife Jane (Huelin) , adored daughter Shana, son-in-law Scott Day, the loves of his life, his two beautiful granddaughters, Mya and Ivy Day who called him "Bumpy" and of course his faithful dog, Murphy. He is also survived by a large and loving extended family and many wonderful friends. Fernand was a loving family man who smiled through it all showing an unbelievable strength and love for his family. His motto in life remained "Keep on smiling". Cremation has taken place under the care of J. Albert Walker Funeral Home (2005) Ltd. 149 Herring Cove Rd., where visitation will be held Saturday November 22 from 2-4 p.m. In keeping with Fernand's wishes, there will be no service. Internment to take place at a later date.
