Convoy A/L/Sig Morley died of Cerebral Malaria at Port Elizabeth, South Africa. He is buried at the South End Cemetery, Port Elizabeth, South Africa.

* Webmaster's Note: According to his service records, Convoy A/Leading Sig Morley was drafted to HMCS Stadacona at the time of his death. This is an administrative paperwork entry as Stadacona, NSCO, was in charge of his records while he was serving on DEMS ships (which were civilian vessels). Based on his pay book, it is believed he was serving in SS Kosciuszko at the time of his death.

Rated Convoy A/Leading Signalman 01 Jun 1941 D.E.M.S. for Convoy Duties, HMCS PROTECTOR - 05 Jun 1941 - 31 Jun 1941 SS THEOSKEPASTI (for Barry (Bari) Roads) - 01 Jul 1941 - 21 Aug 1941 HMCS STADACONA - 22 Aug 1941 - 25 Aug 1941 N.C.S.O. - 26 Aug 1941 SS KOSCIUSZKO - This was written in the upper right corner on a page in his pay book. SS Kosciuszko was a Polish registered vessel. It is believed he was serving in her at the time of his death.
