HARDY, Michael Alan, AB, 58548-H, RCN, died - 23 Oct 1969, HMCS KOOTENAY - Son of Alan and Helen (nee Dunford) of Sarnia, ON.; brother of Linda and Debra; husband of Sandra Faye (nee Edward) Hardy of Dartmouth, NS.

 

AB Michael Hardy joined the RCN on 30 Jul 1965 in London, ON.  He was one of nine sailors who died as a result of a gearbox explosion and fire aboard HMCS Kootenay. AB Hardy is buried in the Brookwood Military Cemetery, Surrey, United Kingdom.
