WATSON, Kenneth William, OS, 4354, RCN, killed in action - 06 Aug 1942, HMCS ASSINIBOINE - Son of Charles George and Alice Maude Watson, of Revelstoke, BC.

 

Ordinary Seaman K. W. Watson died of wounds sustained in surface enemy action between HMCS ASSINIBOINE and German U-boat U-210.

 

Mentioned in Despatches Citation: WATSON, Kenneth William, Ordinary Seaman, 4354, Posthumous, Mention in Despatches, RCN, HMCS ASSINIBOINE - Awarded as per Canada Gazette of 12 December 1942 and London Gazette of 2 December 1942. "For courage, resolution and devotion to duty before the enemy."
