Died: 25 Apr 2002, Sarnia, Ontario

 

BAIN, Clare Albert - of Sarnia passed away peacefully at Lambton Hospitals Group - Mitton Street on Thursday, April 25, 2002 with his family at his side after a brief illness at the age of 87. Beloved husband of the late Nadine "Deane" Eberth Bain 1987. Dear father of Ronald and Karen Bain of Corunna, Doug and Janet Bain of Sarnia and Susan Llewellyn of Dallas. Loving grandfather of Jason, Sean and his wife Malea, Chad, Shannon, Jennifer, Michelle, Andrew, John and Zachary. Great grandfather of Emma, Maria, Evan, Hokulani and Maluhia. Brother of Ken and Marie Bain of Petrolia. Predeceased by two brothers Harry and Carl. Clare was a retiree of Polysar. Visitation at the Stewart Funeral Home, 254 George Street/383-7121 on Saturday 7 - 9 p.m. and Sunday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral service in the Chapel on Monday at 11:00 o'clock with Mrs. Jessie Dobbyn of St. Pauls United Church, Petrolia officiating. Interment Lakeview Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of your choice. Published on April 27, 2002

 

Clare was one of 4 brothers in the Bain family from Petrolia, Ontario to serve during WW2.  His brothers were:  G. Harry Bain (Navy), Kenneth Charles Bain (Navy), Carl Bain (Army - served in the UK)
