Thomas Lochtie

 

Born: 1913, Kelliher, Saskatchewan

 

Died: Dec 2000

 

LOCHTIE, Thomas - was born in Kelliher, Saskatchewan in 1913. He joined the Navy as a stoker but was soon put to work maintaining aircraft. Ships he was stationed on include the Warrior. Upon demobilizing, he returned to Canada with an English war bride and settled in Edmonton. He moved his growing family out to the Hastings Lake District in 1962. He worked at IPL until his retirement in 1976. He was a Legion Past President, skipper of the Cutty Sark Club, and a member of a Masonic Lodge. The Legion was in the process of bestowing a Life Membership when he passed away in December, 2000.
