BOWSER, Robert (Bob) - It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the death of Robert (Bob) Bowser, 70 of Lake Echo on Saturday, July 13, 2019. Bob was predeceased by his parents William and Beulah Bowser, stepfather John Ben Anstey and sister-in-law Glennis Bowser. Bob was a kind and gentle soul and a devoted husband of 29 years. Bob loved animals, feeding birds was his priority every day rain or shine, he enjoyed a good game of pool and always looked forward to camping with his friends at Sunnyvale Campground and loved a good scotch. Bob worked as a cook with the Navy on “The Bonnie” (he loved to cook a good scoff). He also worked as a painter in Alberta and Nova Scotia. Bob is survived by his wife Elinor (Veitch), brother Norman, nephew Steven (Heather), niece Wendy (Roger), mother-in-law Ellie Veitch, sister-in-law’s Betty McGrath, Eileen Veitch, Catherine Veitch, brother-in-law’s Ron Veitch, Kevin (Judy) Veitch, Bob Martin and many nieces and nephews. Special relatives and friends Brian, Maxine, Jason Veitch and Dave & Debbie Rutz. He will be sadly missed by his feline companion Zsa Zsa. Celebration of Life will be held at Dartmouth First Church of the Nazarene, 3 Henry Street at 11:00 a.m. Saturday July 20, 2019. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
