ARSENAULT, Gerald (Gerry) - 80, of Shediac and formerly of Moncton passed away on Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital following a lengthy illness. Gerry was the son of the late Aubin and Marguerite (Duplessis) Arsenault. He served as a seaman on the HMCS Comox with the Royal Canadian Navy during World War II. Retired from C.N.R. as a Carman, Gerry was also a former member of the Beausejour Curling Club and the Lakeside Golf Club. He is survived by his wife, Zélia (Cormier) Arsenault; his children, Lydia Arsenault of Nanaimo, B.C., Yolande Arsenault of Ottawa, ON., Vincent (Danielle) of Moncton, Simone Arsenault (Jean Gallant) of Shediac, and Carmen Marshall (Stephen) of Riverview; nine grandchildren, Gilles, Serge, Michel, Maryse, Nicole, Juliane, Martin, Adam, Colin; three great grandchildren, Laney, Byron and Zachary. Besides his parents, Gerry was predeceased by his sisters, Doris and Irene; and by his brother, Harvey. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. The funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Shediac on Friday, June 25, 2004 at a time to be announced. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297). Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of N. B. or to the Dr. Georges-L.
