"After my dad passed in 1997 to honor him his ashes were spread in various sectors including the day we boarded HMCS Sackville in Halifax and my (now) late mother was given permission for us to discreetly scatter some ashes. My mom, my sister and a nephew quietly and discreetly proceeded amidships and completed said task with my mom signing a guestbook aboard ship prior to our disembarking. To this day that visit and tour of the ship, one of four my father served aboard, an incredible and for ever indelibly etched part of my life, one I shall never forget." submitted by Rob Ironside
